Why ‘myth-busting’?
In 2024, we surveyed university applicants throughout the country. We discovered that young people were very anxious about making the ‘right’ university decision. We also discovered that this anxiety centred around some misconceptions: about what employers look for, the range of opportunities that university can offer and even which subject was the ‘right’ one to choose.
For example…
68%
Of applicants feel ‘anxious’ or ‘very anxious’ about choosing the ‘right’ university
VS
8%
Of employers consider the university attended to be important when hiring grads
